How to inform Welsh Water of a bereavement

You can notify Welsh Water of a death by completing their online form. This can be found by visiting the bereavement contact section on their website below:

If you could like to speak to a customer service agent over the phone, you can call them on 0800 052 0145. Phone lines are open:

  • Monday to Friday: 8:00am - 6:00pm
  • Saturday: 9:00am - 1:00pm

What information Will you need to provide to Welsh Water?

To complete the online form, you Will need t provide the following information about the person that has passed away:

  • Name and address of the account holder and their customer reference number - if you have it
  • Date of death
  • A meter reading - if the property has a meter and it's safe to read
  • Details of the executor
  • The name(s) of anyone living in, or due to live in, the property

Once Welsh Water have received your form, a member of their customer services team be in touch to let you know what happens next.
